Add phase A ingredients one at a time under mixing to the main and continue to mix until uniform. Add the Tylose into the main and allow to disperse for a few minutes. Add the sodium hydroxide solution to temporarily buffer up the pH (to ~7.5-8) and remove the delayed swellable coating on the Tylose. Mix for few minutes allowing the Tylose to hydrate and thicken the batch. Add remaining phase C ingredients one at a time mixing until uniform before adding the next.
